WB Madhyamik Examination 2017: Madhyamik Pariksha or simply Madhyamik (Bengali: মাধ্যমিক) is a centralised examination conducted by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (পশ্চিমবঙ্গ মধ্যশিক্ষা পর্ষদ) in West Bengal, India, at the end of the 10th standard of high school. By count of examinees, it is among the better known 10th standard examinations in India. Over 600,000 students took the exam in 2000, and the number has increased substantially since then. The number of students reached a record 1 million in the 2011 Madhyamik examination. Compulsory subjects are first language, second language, physical science (combined with physics and chemistry), life science, mathematics, history and geography.
West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (Bengali: পশ্চিমবঙ্গ মধ্য শিক্ষা পর্ষদ) is the West Bengal state government administered autonomous examining authority for the Standard 10 examination (or secondary school level examination) of West Bengal, India. The examination for the 10th standard is called the Madhyamik Pariksha or secondary examination. The Madhyamik examination is conducted annually and simultaneously all over the state of West Bengal and also in affiliates of the board located outside West Bengal, elsewhere in India. More than 10,50,000 examinees take the exam each year.
It has its headquarters at Nivedita Bhaban, in Bidhannagar, a suburb of Kolkata.

This year Madhyamik examination started Wednesday 22nd March, 2017 the new syllabus and new style. End of examination 03rd March, 2017. Number includes 90 multiple-choice written exam and 40 percent of short prasnabaki number ten number one, now is the verbal. It will be the end of the school on the basis of assessment. The number of examinees has decreased compared to last year madhyamike. A total of 014 examinees madhyamike 4 of 10 million. 10 lakh 3 thousand 015 on the decline suggests. The second is to increase the number of 11 lakh 47 thousand 016 examinees. The candidate school with around 10 lakh 75 thousand. That is, compared to the previous year, this year more than 70 candidates declined.
